Based off a picture I took from the waters edge off Driftwood Point Grasstree Beach. Although the reference picture was taken on a fine sunny day, I was drawn to painting it in a dramatic and moody way. The focal point of the painting is the crashing green waves and rugged rocks but it’s also the swirling sky that draws my attention. Soft and ethereal blues and greys dance in a windswept pattern across the canvas. This painting embodies the raw and untamed beauty of nature.
